Time to Relax at Last! Last night at Caiguna

Caiguna Roadhouse has a golf hole that is part of the 1365kms Nullarbor Links.
Caiguna's golf hole is called "90 Mile Straight" and is the 11th hole.
The Links starts at Kalgoolie and finishes at Ceduna and is an 18 hole, par 72 golf course - the longest golf course in the world.

Del spent time finely adjusting the spoke pressures on his rear wheel this morning and the wheel is now running well.

We took a stroll around the roadhouse before lunch and took a few photos.
Two Oversize road trains, carrying machines for the mines, had pulled in for a lunch break.

A sign indicated that we were only 4345 kms from Auckland.
Just off the "motel" block (above) were half a dozen very small "budget rooms".
A motor cycle group, complete with support vehicle, dropped in for lunch.

We spent the rest of the afternoon showering, packing and taking things easy.

Feeling much happier about the days ahead.

  1. Excellent news, thanks Cyndie! And good news Del, well done. I Googled to help, and the best I could find was “pop into your local cycle shop”, which caused a grin. Just look at the size of those, and Del’s a big boy. Noticed the golf course idea, very inventive, but I can’t see the truckers popping in for a hole in one, but for those not in a hurry it’s a way to pass the journey and brings trade in. Enjoy your rest, and get ready to truck…

  2. Only 4345km from here? That's cycling distance! Have a good night's sleep - hope you have good weather and a tail wind over the next few days! xx
