The Nullarbor Express! Madura to Mundrabilla - 118kms

No stopping to take photos today, folks!
We woke to a predicted tail wind - and we were off!

We left Mundara at 6.30am and, apart from a heavy dousing from the rain and the spray from passing road trains, we made fantastic progress.
We had planned to bush camp.at around 60kms but there was literally no bush and the rain had turned the red bush dust to clinging mud.
Del suggested that, as we had a good tail wind, we should carry on to Mundrabilla.

So, wet and bedraggled but very pleased with ourselves, we arrived at Mundrabilla around 4.00pm and took an en suite room for the night.

Today we broke our record!  118kms!!
The Nullarbor Express is back in business!!

  2. Woohoo!!! Indeed! Well done. Bedraggled can be dealt with in an achievement, self-satisfied, pain-recovery sort of way. Brilliant, and a bed, what more could a tired bum ask for (rhetorical!)? Truck on magnificently…
