Rain Stops Play! Mundaring

Slept soundly and woke to the sound of howling wind and pelting rain!
The TV describes today's conditions as a once-a-year Super Storm - strong winds, persistent heavy rain and low temperatures.
We were quick to decide that there would be no cycling today and booked another night. The worst of it is expected tomorrow so we'll take each day as it comes.

Later we took advantage of a break in the rain and walked alongside the busy highway to the small Mundaring shopping centre.

It's a wonder that ANY wildlife manages to survive crossing this highway!

The rain returned!
We enjoyed a lovely coffee, bought something for lunch and dinner tonight, then made our way back to our motel.

An afternoon of repacking the trailers, blogging and relaxing in front of TV is planned.
After yesterday's efforts, more relaxation wouldn't go amiss!

  1. Oh dear, just when you thought you had left all the rain behind you in New Zealand. My friend who works in the mines in the Pilbara and lives in Perth when she is not in the mines. Said worst Perth weather ever. Xxx
